Apple is all set for the release of the most awaited smartphone of the year, the iPhone 7.
Apple is known to launch a range of its new products like the MacBook, iPad and Smart Watch models during autumn every year. Following the trend, Apple has scheduled an event on Wednesday, September 7, where this giant is expected to announce iPhone 7.
Will it be called iPhone 7!
Experts believe that the latest version of iPhone may be called iPhone 7 or can be renamed. The updated version of the company’s flagship smartphone is expected to feature minor iterative changes rather than an exhaustive redesign. Some predictions are also roaming around that Apple could save the name iPhone 7 for the upcoming 10th year anniversary release in 2017, and instead name the upcoming version as iPhone 6SE.
The Latest Upgrade
Different experts are sharing their views and speculate that iPhone 7 will be similar to the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, while some predict that the latest upgraded version may have many new features. Here are some predictions about the features and specification of iPhone 7:
Apple is expected to embed a new Apple A10 SoC to power with the upcoming versions and it is assume that the company may bump up the memory alongside to 3GB of RAM. It is also anticipated to increase internal storage of base variant from 16GB to 32GB and boost the storage capacity of the top-end variant from 128GB to 256GB. Considering this, it can be said that the new iPhone might be available in 32GB, 128GB, and 256GB variants.
Another update as per the speculators is that Apple may remove the 3.5mm audio jack from the upcoming version. There are few reasons what experts predict.

- Provide better waterproofing to upcoming models.
- Provide users with better audio quality through the Lightning port instead that can also power active noise cancellation in headphones. Apple may also include a Lightning-power Ear-Pod set or Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter in the box instead. We may also find dual-speaker grilles as well if jack is removed.
The device may also have a second external speaker and integrated amplifier for louder, richer output to have a better listening advantage.
Further with the updates, Apple is planning to boost the display resolution of the upcoming iPhone models. The present model iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus sport resolutions of 750×1334 pixels and 1080×1920 pixels, while the upcoming models of iPhone 7 are expected to support resolutions of 1080×1920 pixels and 1440×2560 pixels and may vary.
The latest version of iPhone is expected to have a more advanced camera, the 4.7 inch model offer a better stabilization in optical image, and the bigger 5.5-inch that will support a dual camera setup. As per the predictions Apple’s iPhone 7 will possess 2x 12MP dual rear camera limited to specific model that will uses 1x wide angle and 1x telephoto lenses. The ambient light sensors upgrade provides iPhone cameras a better low light shot. The increased number of camera flash LEDs led from two to four with warm and cool colors, which will also be a show stopper for the latest model.
Moving with the color options, Apple is also planning to include a Space Black variant in the range, though there were also rumor of a Space Blue variant.
Further, Apple may replace the home button with a pressure-sensitive similar to the one that works like the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus’ “3D Touch” display. Instead of providing a physical switch that users have to physically press, the all-new button will work with haptic feedback, which would allow iPhone makers to make bigger phone.
The upcoming iPhone model is likely to have a bigger battery than its current models and could feature a major upgrade that will provide a far better speed as compared to the present models. In case if Apple keeps the prices for its larger handsets unchanged, there is an assumption that a 64GB iPhone 7 to cost $828 and 128GB $935.
